Transportation
Gas Cards
If you have a family member in an out-of-town hospital, we know the burden of gas expenses can be crippling, especially for extended recovery when frequent visits are necessary. We’re here to help relieve this burden.
Impact:
628 gas cards provided in 2022.
Your donation of $50 will help a family get to an out-of-town doctor's appointment or visit their child.
Automotive Repairs
Reliable transportation can be the difference between being able to overcome a challenging season and being completely overwhelmed. If you’re going through an especially difficult time and lack of finances for minor auto repairs are keeping you from being able to get to work or take your kids to medical appointments, we are here to help get you back on the road.
Impact:
We helped restore reliable transportation for 48 neighbors in 2022.
Your donation of $200 can help a neighbor keep their job/get to work.
Wellness
Medical Equipment Loan Closet
Crutches, walkers, bath chairs, wheel chairs, and more - We have a free medical equipment loan closet to help you get back on your feet without the burden of extra expenses on top of your medical bills.
Impact:
In 2022, 413 neighbors were served with this program.
Your donation of $100 will help us maintain and replace items.
Hygiene & Cleaning Pantry
When life hits hard, simple necessities to keep your home and family clean and healthy suddenly become hard to obtain. We keep a stocked pantry at Jubilee House on 325 Washington Street, Traverse City where you can take 10 free items every two weeks. Walk-ins only, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Impact:
We support over 60 local families with hygiene and cleaning supplies every month.
Your donation of $20 helps keep a family healthy and clean for one month.
Family Basics
Crib for Expectant Parents
We’re here to make sure your baby has a safe place to sleep, with a brand new crib and layette. We provide free drop-off and set-up. We can also refer you to other local organizations with free necessities for expecting parents - car seats, baby and maternity cloths, etc.
Impact:
Provided 19 cribs in 2022.
Your donation of $200 will provide a new crib and layette.
Holiday Family Support
We all go through hard times, but when those challenges hit us during the holidays, it can feel defeating to not be able to provide Christmas presents and a holiday meal for your kids. We provide a gift card (donated by a generous ‘sponsor’) so you can have the joy of shopping for your kids, and they can have a joyous Christmas morning. We also provide holiday food baskets.
Impact:
50 holiday food baskets were given in 2022, and 30 families were sponsored for Christmas presents.
Your donation of $200 ensures kids don’t go without presents for Christmas, and $60 provides a holiday food basket.
Household Appliances
When an appliance stops working during an already hard season, it can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. We’ll provide assistance in replacing broken household appliances with used or refurbished items.
Impact:
15 household appliances were replaced in 2022.
Your donation of $100 helps your neighbor continue to cook food or wash cloths for their family.
